Purpose   The purpose of this project is to compare and seek out the advantage and disadvantage of two analytical tools, SAP Lumira and Datapine. The goal will be achieved by merging and processing two datasets, and the research questions will be answered by further analysis. The detailed assessments of each analytical tool and the corresponding recommendation will be provided in the end.Research QuestionsNowadays, employment rate and unemployment rate are two essential elements for countries over the world. This report will discuss the relationship between unemployment rate and the development level of countries (based on GDP). The following three questions will be analyzed specifically in our final report. 1.      Does the unemployment rate in correlation with the annual GDP in each country?2.      Do countries with a relative lower annual GDP have a lower unemployment rate?3.  In each country, is there a seasonal annual GDP? Does seasonal GDP lead to seasonal unemployment rate? DatasetsThe datasets we chose illustrate that the worldwide unemployment rate of two age groups, which are 15-24 years old and 25-54 years old, from 2005 to 2017 respectively. Furthermore, datasets of each countries’ GDP are chosen as the indicator of the development level of countries. Analytic ToolsThe following two analytical tools will be used to analyze and evaluate our datasets: ·             SAP Lumira, as a well-known visual intelligence tool, has been commonly used to visualize datasets and provide graphical view of data. Data Prep: Datasets can be uploaded as an excel file, text file, clipboard, SQL query and so on. Different functions that exist in SAP Lumira can be used to visualize datasets and assist with analyzing our research questions. Data Visualization:  The visualizing function of SAP Lumira can graphically display the datasets and assist analyzing research questions. For instance, the line charts can be used to display the change on unemployment rate of chosen countries over time. ·             As a powerful and easy-to-use Business Intelligence tool, Datapine is designed for non-technical users to explore the datasets, visualize trends and patterns, and build professional dashboards.Questions and Answers: The function of Questions and Answers has been designed to solve relevant problems effectively and efficiently.
