The two paradigms of quality management rely on quantifying the aspects of quality in the observed processes in order to determine continuity in improvement. However, considering health care is a more volatile environment, Six Sigma would be a preferred choice. This is because it relies more on data collection and analysis, therefore, data mining from health records and other variables converted in numerical form. In terms of sales and customer services, TQM could work better. Take for example in care centers where service quality is the main focus and quality is considered in form of customer satisfaction.
