Sales can be analyzed in many ways. The analysis of sales is defined as the determination of the extent to which a given sales force has met certain sales objectives over a certain period of time. The analyses provide the majority of manager with information regarding which products are most purchased, market trends, most profitable customers, geographic buying patterns and sales forecasting. Analyses of sales can be done by looking at what goods have sold well and those that have not and the factors associated with such numbers. The analyses of sales are done according to given business dimensions. These business dimensions include customer type, time (period), customer region (region) and location (Suchánek, Slaninova & Bucki, 2010). These business dimensions are among the most used in the business world for sales analyses. One way sales can be analyzed is through period comparisons in regard to the last year versus the current financial year that has just ended. These period comparisons project the improvement or lack of it in sales of a given company. The second way to analyze sales is through competitor analysis. In this case, the three plants may be levelled against each other looking for the one with the best sales over the same period (Suchánek, Slaninova & Bucki, 2010). Third, sales can be analyzed through Per Capita Sales which determine the number of dollars that have been made from the sale of products by a given population.
