Naturally, billions of cells die each day in our human bodies, and we do not even feel it or get sick. What is going on? Scientists call this naturally programmed cell death in our bodies "apoptosis." If not for apoptosis, we could have cells that could be immortal (live forever). Why apoptosis then? Why would our bodies like our natural cells to commit suicide in the first place, and so have cells that have a programmed age? Investigate and write an essay about the curious cellular phenomenon of apoptosis. Your essay must be written entirely in your own words and must be at least three paragraphs long. Each of these paragraphs must contain at least five sentences, but you can write more than three paragraphs and more than five sentences per paragraph if you wish to do so. You must also include at least three different references that you used to investigate about this topic and you must list them at the end of your essay using APA style.
