Organization Security Assessment

Abstract

The security policy of the company is the central repository where intangibles like, philosophy, mission statements, corporate, culture, and attitude to risk are used to define the security parameters, which can be elucidated into measurable action statements, procedures, enforceable, and ways of working. However, to maintain an organization’s security entails proper security policies, technologies, and procedures to be put in place for the protection of an organization from involuntary or intentional data loss or damage. Since the organization does not entice hackers and other intruders, it does not require much in terms of security. Therefore, the size and nature of an organization influence the scope and the complexity of the security policy, but the essential need for security policy is indisputable.
