Kidney Disease
The human body is comprised of many
organs that function in different ways to ensure better health of an
individual. However, sometimes some of these organs can fail to function as
expected, a situation that results in many diseases. According to Zuber &
Davis (2016), the human kidney is one of those that have critical functions in
the body. The kidneys perform a number of important functions in the human
body including purification of blood by removing metabolic wastes. They also
balance hormones responsible for blood pressure and hemoglobin formation
(Zuber & Davis, 2016).
When the kidneys fail to undertake
these functions then they are said to have failed. According to Yamaguchi,
Tanaka & Nangaku (2015), Kidney disease is one of the leading and dreaded
medical conditions of our time. It is always important that people undertake
routine medical check-ups to ensure that their kidney and other organs are functioning
in the best way possible. This paper examines the Kidney disease, focusing on
its causes, signs, and symptoms as well as medical interventions in its
management.
