Does your own view of who Jesus was/is correspond with the information in chapter 5 of CF, or do you see him differently?(3) Make sure you understand the biblical, classical, process and feminist approaches to the problem of suffering and evil. In your own opinion, which is the most convincing? Which is the least? Why? (4) The last part of this week's assignment is to answer this question: Why study religion? I want you to consider the power (both positive AND negative) of religious belief in the world. Because of this often double-sided influence religion has (there are plenty of religious extremists in this country, and numbers-wise most are Christian, not Muslim) it would be a good idea for individuals to understand their own religion and to have a sense of how it is similar to and different from the beliefs of others. So what I want you to do is to read a few articles about "religion" or "theology" off the internet and then tell me, in one to two paragraphs, why it is or is not important to study these matters.
