The
research paper (Informative Essay) will be a PROPERLY FORMATTED 6 to 9 FULL PAGES strongly developed, college
level essay. Works Cited page IS NOT an
accounted page. For formatting guidelines, please refer to the syllabus. By “FULL
PAGE” assume a minimum of ¾ length of the final paer as a “FULL PAGE” Anything
below this will be considered a “PARTIAL PAGE” You will include a cover page
(Again is not an accounted page)(. Your essay should be double spaced. All
pages will have the last name and page number in either the header or the
footer. Any work not falling within these guidelines will automatically receive
a 20% deduction.
The student
will cite 4 to 8 legitimate sources and adhere to proper MLA Formatting with a
Works Cited Page. Sources are best obtained through KVCC library, org’s, or
govs. You will be partially graded on this in your final grade for this
project. A rubric will be psoted on Moodle.
The
research paper will present the student’s research findings on one of the
following topics
1. Human Euthanasia: Dying with Dignity
or Sanctity of Life
2. Why are more and more people moving
to large cities away from Rural Areas? (US or Worldwide)
3. Understanding the public clearn
water crisis in the United States: Flint, MI and Beyond
4. Homelessness in Michigan
5. Discuss the Similarities &
Differences between the Great Wall of China, The Berlin Wall & the proposed Border Wall.
6. Multiculturalism: Is it possible to
maintain each and every cultural identity in a multicultural society?
7. What will be the next frontier for
humans: Deep Sea? Mars? Elsewhere?
8. What will be the future impact of
technological innovations?
9. What do serial killers have in common:
Understanding psychological factors
10. Discuss illiteracy and its impact of
society in the United States
11. Topic of your choice- must be
approved due date from this to be determined by the professor.
