The education system of any community forms the basis upon which development and growth are initiated through the enlightenment of the next generation. There are various stakeholders that play different roles in the system, however, teachers are the focal point that denotes the success of the education system. Per se, the shortage of teachers in regards to numbers and quality is problem that the Arizona community and state institutions should look to resolve before the problem worsens than the current indicators. The problem should not be assumed to affect public schools only, as it is a concern whose effects trickles down to private institutions. The initiative to be implemented by the state should address the retaining and recruitment strategies, teacher training programs, and workplace environment factors which in one way or another influence shortage of teachers in Arizona schools.
