First Amendment Law in the Classroom

Since the existence of the first amendment protection of freedom of speech, there has been quite a buzz as some people think that these rules tend to work differently in a school setting. However one of the areas that seem immune the First Amendment in schools. In Public schools teachers and administrators are permitted to decide what is best for their students even in existence of the First Amendment (Fisher v. University of Texas at Austin, 2013). The purpose of this paper is, therefore, to discuss the First Amendment in classrooms with regards to class activities, and how the teachers and instructors operate under it.
