1.               What are the potential impacts of dual or multiple diagnoses (Co-Morbidities) on identification and prioritisation of the older person’s needs?

Often, most diagnostic/identification guidelines target a single index disorder. However, comorbidities are complex and heterogeneous hence presenting identification challenges. Prioritization is also a presenting challenge because clinicians do not know which conditions to pay more attention to and which ones to ignore. Polypharmacy makes it difficult to manage all conditions at the same time due to limited functionality of the organs such as the liver and kidneys in the elderly (Ashworth & Small 2016).
