Personalized medicine is regarded is one of the emerging issues in the medical field. However, the idea can be traced back in the industrial revolution. The idea of personalized medicine emanated from the fact that one could be treated through an identification of personal characteristics that are unique to an individual (Hamburg&Collins, 2010). It is termed as personalized, as personal attributes of an individual are classified. This includes the genetic characteristics, past treatment history, behavior, and environmental factors. The attributes are studied to determine characteristics that can be used for pharmaceutical purposes. At times, it involves separating the individual from situations that can make them susceptible to diseases. Similarly, their response to treatment is also determines.In other cases, a medical history of the individual informs the treatment that can be offered to the individual.
