Recently, the use of social media has risen exponentially in almost all fields. In the healthcare sector, social media has had great benefits due to its positive impacts around the world. Many professionals in health care have embraced the use of social media to advance their way of doing things. For instance, nurses use social media to get updated information to enhance the health of the general public.  Through it, they have improved the safety and quality of general health care as they can access useful information regularly. They also get to discuss with their patients on how they are progressing thus giving room for constant feedback and appointment. Therefore, in this paper, I will discuss the key advantages of using social media in the nursing profession.
