Abstract

Introduction

The introduction emphasizes the necessity to discuss the topic and help in creating solutions to the ingrained challenges from the same. This calls for a critical examination of the topic to dispense with any myths and misinformation in the society and process of provision of quality healthcare in the society. Examination of the topic creates the opportunity to address issues of concern which then helps in providing solution to communication problems between patients with invasive ventilation and nurses working in the same setting. COMMUNICATION BETWEEN NURSES AND INVASIVE VENTILATION PATIENTS

2 Purpose

The purpose of the writing is to enlighten the population, especially patients with invasive ventilation and nurses working in similar settings. By acquiring relevant knowledge, nurses and patients get to acquire skills necessary in combating challenges facing. Examination of the factors leading affecting communication between nurses and patients need to be tackled to help in the improving the quality standards in the nursing profession. Method and Design

The analysis of the topic would involve carrying out review of literature to get views of different authors and researchers regarding the same. Additionally, there would also be conducting of questionnaires to the relevant parties such as the nurses to get first-hand information on the challenges of communication between the nurses and patients with invasive ventilation. Finally, there will be conducted secondary research which will involve analysis of the topical issue.

Results

It is revealed that lack of relevant knowledge of the nurses is a predisposing factor to challenges of communication in the ICU. Secondly, the study reveals that nursing setups downplay the role of nurses in improving interactions between patients in the ICU and nurses. Finally, there is a need to make use of technological development to tackle challenges in ICU settings.

Conclusion

Nurses need to get refresher courses to enable them acquire updated information on the methods of tackling challenges to communication between patients with invasive tubing and nurses in the ICU. Secondly, relatives need of patients need to be involved in improving communication between patients and nurses in the ICU. Finally, there is a need to develop gadgets that aid communication and teach patients how to communicate with the nurses. Communication between nurses and patients with invasive ventilation is a great challenge to the provision of healthcare in the modern society, and this proves the need to examine the issue to create solutions towards the challenge. There is a need for researchers to engage in research processes which can help in the improvement of quality of services through improvement of communication by ensuring that nurses acquire skills that can help them to communicate with patients effectively.
