300 words of Book report of, Norman Rich, Great Power Diplomacy: 1814-1914 (1992)

The author of this book tries to look at the historical events that have taken place mainly from 1814 to 1914. It clearly outlines and discusses various decisions that have been made in the past. Democratic history has taken the greatest part in this book. In this work, Norman has tried to explain how statesmen in various places tried to solve various issues that made them appear in a critical situation. In his discussion, Rich (1992) has also expounded the ways I which the statesmen have succeeded in addressing the situations that made them appear in crisis. He has done this through considering how successful this people have been and the reasons behind them being termed as successful. On the failures part, he has also considered the weaknesses that the statesmen had that have made them unable to the past crises. This is what led to failures that they encountered. Through this book, we are able to get the knowledge as far as making decisions is concerned. Rich (1992)
