Introduction

            Marriage equality is lawful permission and recognition of marriage between people of the same sex. Proponents of marriage equality, that is same sex marriages, have claimed that people who want to engage in same sex marriages ought to be protected and legally recognized. Though the world has made little progress, there are still many inequality cases. Everyone ought to be given a chance to realize the hopes and dreams that they have and be provided for the same rights, fundamentally, and protection by law. Same sex marriage people should be allowed to enjoy their love and moreover celebrate its as equal people of the society in every aspect.

Reasons why marriage equality is important

            Same sex couples have the same marriage intentions as opposite sex marriage couples. There are reasons why same sex marriage couple want to marry(Jenkins.,2016). These are; for legitimate security, to celebrate their commitments publicly and to provide great level protection to their children and moreover, since they are in love. Researchers have shown that 54% of same sex couples would marry only if they were given the opportunity, provision of social benefits and cultural bases. Same sex marriages, if legalized, would have impact on the commitment of the couples. Their sense of having responsibilities will also be stronger. Basically, marriage will be healthy, happy and would live long (Jenkins.,2016).

            It promotes equality. Bans on same sex marriages promotes inequality since those who engage in such marriages are not recognized legally and  equal to their other heterosexual counterpart, same sex couples are not allowed to make their life choices. It is also a violation of human rights which are fundamental(Armenia.,2016).

Wellbeing of children

             Legal recognition of same sex marriages have its benefits flowing to the children of such couples. Children raised by such couples benefit in the same way as those from hetero sexual marriages. Children are helped from avoiding stigma and the being unwanted feeling. Discrimination against children from same sex couples, moreover, is reduced. Marriage equality surely is in the best interest for children being raised by such couples.
