Present the background and context for your document.
o
Craft a strong opening sentence
that will engage the reader.

Explain the purpose
of your paper and how you plan to approach
the topic.
o

organized your approach
to the topic.

Conclude the introductory paragraph with your thesis statement.
3.
Body (5 pages of content)
o
Use an outline as a guideline to keep track of your ideas.
o
Provide points that support your thesis statement.
o
Use different sources to back up your points.
o Find supporting arguments for each point you make, and present a strong point first, followed by an even stronger one, and finish with your strongest point.

Conclusion (included in the 5 pages)

2. Open the Final paper folder in Blackboard and see each one of the four (4) different articles provided.
3. After exploring
the articles, choose
your favorite one, the one you would like to talk about in your
research paper.
4. Research papers
are intended to demonstrate a student’s academic knowledge of a subject. Using the subject
of your selected
paper, develop a thesis
about this topic, demonstrate your understanding
of the subject, give examples from experience (if applicable), and use other sources (class book, other books,
articles, websites, etc.) to support your thesis. Your minimum reference sources should be 5 (assignment article included).
5.
Open the rubric document
posted in the Final Paper folder in Blackboard. This will help as a guidance on how
you will be graded.
6. Watch the “How to
set up MLA Format Paper” video posted in Final Paper folder in Blackboard. If you follow this video step by step, your paper will be correctly
formatted (margins, spaces, page numbers, etc.)
7. Once you are finished
with your paper, you can upload it to the provided link in Blackboard. No emailed papers will be accepted.
8.
Do not upload your paper on the
last day because the Blackboard system “SafeAssign” will take some time to check
for plagiarism. Your score should
be less than 10%. If your score is more
than 10% you will need to
check your citations.
9. Make use of the college’s writing
center, they can review
your grammar, language and help

10. This paper
is due on the day of your final
exam at midnight.
