Body of the Personal statement

Various reasons have encouraged me to study engineering, and one of the themes is that studying engineering will enable me to have good graduate prospects and have an edge in the employment sector. This is because engineers have an edge over graduates from other courses, and this will help in providing an easy way of becoming successful in the current competitive society. Secondly, studying engineering will enable me to engage in the building of the societies, and this is because it is the engineers who are tasked with construction projects in the society and championing industrialization. Studying engineering will provide an easy way through which I can become an integral part of development in the modern society and help in the improvement of the living condition of the people. Additionally, the salary that the engineers earn is also a reason that has encouraged me to transfer to engineering course. By having a good salary, I can have a greater impact in the society and take part in the improvement of the living standards of the society by helping in alleviating poverty. By earning a good salary, I will be able to start income generating projects and reduce the degree of unemployment.

My objective is to acquire and develop knowledge and skills and engage in research projects that will help in tackling the current world's social problems such as global warming drought. With the acquisition of the right engineering skills, I will have the skills that can help in the repair of the ozone layer and engage in related to cloud seeding and irrigation in the drought-stricken parts of the world ensure that there are food stability and improved living conditions of the society. Finally, I plan to start a foundation that will mentor the youth and equip them with the right skill that can help them to tackle the various societal challenges.
