------EXCERPT---------------
The article was authored by Lisa Beilfuss in the
November of 2015 where she posed the question as to whether there are no high
school diplomas anymore. At the onset, the author acknowledges that the job
market is actually looking up especially in relation to those who performed
poorly during the economic crisis. In this case, she indicated that there as an
actual decline of the unemployment rate for the people above 25 years who did
not have the high school diplomas within that period (Beilfuss, 2015). In particular, this dropped from a rate of 7.9 to about 7.4 in the
month of October; a rate that would be termed as the best since the year 2008.
Evidently, in 2015, the unemployment rate in the
United States was essentially correlated to the level of education attained. In
this light, the unemployment rate for the more learned people was substantially
higher than those with low educational qualification perceived to have little
skills. Actually, the participation rate for this age bracket (25 years and
above) reduced with the reduction in the level of education attained. This
implies that the total number of people who are actively seeking job and the
ones actually working is higher for those with better educational
qualification.
