Abstract

One of the leading causes of death in women in the current world that we live in is considered to be cardiovascular diseases. Many women are vulnerable to the disease due to factors which include race, lifestyle, and gender (Borer, Amsterdam, & Newby, 2017). These factors have greatly generated to the high number of deaths of women as a result of myocardial infarction. Empirical studies suggest that in about four women who die, one dies as a result of this cardiovascular disease (See Appendix 1).

The focus of this paper will be to elaborate on the specific issues relevant to the research topic including the effect of myocardial infection on the health of adult female individuals and the resulting rates of mortality as well as the role of the nurse in the treatment and prevention of myocardial infarction plus how a nurse would be able to deal with similar medical issues in the future.
