Research plan development phase 3

The Boston fire department is a public safety organization located in Boston City, Massachusetts as the name suggests. The organization deals with some operations. These operations are mainly rescue operations. Some of them include first responders to emergency cases, motor accidents, and natural disasters among many other. The sole purpose of the organizations is to provide safety for the environment the organization operates in. However, the organization mainly deals with firefighting operations. The organization maintains, installs and improves the firefighting equipment in most of the buildings across the city of Boston. Other operations the city is involved in include awareness programs for fire drills and knowledge on the primary use of fire equipment that are found in most public buildings.

The leadership structure present at the organization is doing quite a good job. But, there are still some challenges. One of the most visible problems being that of the issue of transparency in leadership. To overcome these barriers to a more successful leadership structure, research was conducted, and a gap in the literature was realized. There was no sufficient information from the previous research to aid in implementing transparency in the leadership structure at the working place. Therefore, there was need to create a research development plan for the sole purpose of breaching this very visible gap in the literature.
