Business communication 1

Communication is a crucial aspect of the society. It is incorporated into many areas some of them being companies, schools, governments, organizations among others. Most importantly, communication is vital to achieving the strategic business goals of an individual organization or company (Grunig, 2013). Its vitality is in the fact that it can help bring the company up or in most unfortunate situations bring it down. Therefore, effective communication is good for business. While ineffective communication is bad for business. The significance of effective communication is visible in both our professional and business lives (Grunig, 2013). However, ineffective communication can lead to conflicts either in the short-term or long-term.

One scenario that lead to effective communication was the channel of communication that one of my lecturers used. The professor used to communicate any information concerning the class to a representative of the class. Consequently, the representative would then pass on the message to us in the appropriate way. The representative would either text us the information or e-mail it to us. For the whole semester, information about classes, cats, assignments and exams was made available in the proper manner and appropriate time.
