and Media Reading Responses
In the modern world, the
media is the better gimmick for politicians and people will elect a candidate
if he or she presents the policies well to the public through any mean of
communication. Bernie Sanders and Ted Cruz, who are running for the 2016
presidential candidate in America under the democratic and republican party
respectively, take to the stage to market themselves to the public differently,
as both candidates use the social media platform to socialize with the public.
According to Carr, and Kruse, (2015) Facebook,
Twitter, YouTube, Google, among other forms of the social media platform are
some of the media of socializing that different politician in American are
using to reach all people in the country. Apparently, the article “How Social Media is Running Politics,”
one can see that key political figures in the United States among them
President Obama are regular users of social media networking. They share their
views to as many people as possible, not only in America but across the globe.
In the past years, many
politicians used radio and television to share their views and political
agendas to the public. Nonetheless, unlike the case of radio and TV, which were
used as key Media in selling political agenda; currently, social media has
transformed political ground for many political candidates(Carr, and Kruse, 2015). In present days, American
people can log in to any social platform and learn about the political
happening since the platforms create a simple association between the public
and politicians.
Social media is a
significant trend to the people across the world; they can learn the political
happening in different nations in a straightforward manner. For example in the
article, Trump's Rhetoric of White
Nostalgia,” one can see that Trump presents his view about America through
Google news, whereby he can stream with Google links and give his perspectives
and political point of view to the public (Brownstein, 2016).
