Outline for writing your literature review:

1.    Introduction (without this heading)- 1-2 paragraphs (  you have to set up your problem why is this problem important , desperctive stats , dependent variable )
Write an introduction paragraph for your review. This paragraph
a.    states the topic, including descriptive statistics (e.g. how many people are impacted by your problem, costs associated with your problem, why is this problem important)
b.    tells the reader specific information on how many articles you reviewed and the common themes based on findings (results)
c.    states the inquiry questions (hypothesis or research question) for this review.

2.    Body (without this heading) this is the MAIN part of your paper.  You will have a minimum of 2-3 themes that connect your IV to your DV.

Before you begin this section, be sure that you have sorted your articles into different themes based on the articles findings (sometimes called results). After you sort your articles, it is important to give your sorted groups a descriptive name. The names of the sorted articles will become your headings for each of the paragraphs that you write in the body of your review. The body of your literature review will include,

    Summary 1-2 paragraphs
a.    This is the last paragraph of your literature review. In this paragraph, it is important to briefly summarize the main findings from the articles that you reviewed and to point out how your inquiry questions were answered or not answered.
b.    Discuss limitations and what the gap  for example you can say that not the LBGT COMMunity was discussed or the studies focused on women rather than men and that is a gap ect. please make it simple and dry. each article should have an APA citation already.
