The first activity that I undertook to promote participation of the students was allowing them to teach each other. I divided them into groups and assigned each group a task. I set some guidelines and allowed them to teach each other by engaging in interesting activities such as designing review games and writing tests for others. Thereafter, I evaluated the accuracy of each group, the creativity of their approach, and examined their collaboration as a team. Through this activity, I managed to motivate the children by making them attentive and eager learn more. 

The other approach that I implemented was to offer incentives to children who participated actively in the activities. Vaughn et al. (2017) note that introduction of incentives can promote performance, and therefore, every instructor should design incentives based on clear feedback on suitable classroom behavior, and a path to progress toward mastering the course content. Provision of incentives served several functions such as initiating learner action and enhancing participation and learner commitment.
