Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) is a new model of production established by the Toyota Company. The TNGA approach replaces the antiquated Toyota Production System (TPS) that has been existent since 1948. TNGA, as a revolutionary approach to the company’s manufacturing process, aims to standardize the vehicle platforms and powertrains (Toyota UK, 2015). Ideally, the standardization process was previously incorporated to TPS. However, the TNGA approach focusses on vehicle development through harmonization of the planning and design process.
