Physical Characteristics

I observed a 5 year old female child in a kindergarten. The child was well-developed as there were no any physical deformities and other abnormalities. The child was active and energetic evidenced by her up and down running. There was desire for physical activity. The child was also happy and involved in the gym. Her body was flexible and resilient with exercise. There was little difference between her and the male counterparts.

Height and Weight

She weighed about forty-two pounds which is normal for a 5 year old. The child was well built. Her height was about forty three inches which is also normal for a 5-year old girl. At this age, normally both girls and boys tend to have similar weight and height.

Body Proportions

The height of the girl was about 5 heads. The head was well rounded with eyes and ears at the same level. The head was larger in proportion to the body. 

Muscle and Bone Development

The child had high muscle mass of normal size, shape and bulk. The limbs were symmetrical and healthy. The muscle power was 5 (MRC grading). The bone lengths were normal as evidenced by symmetry of limbs and good proportions.
