According to Frieden and Houry (2016), the number of deaths in the U.S stemming from the overdose of prescription-opioid has quadrupled in the last 17 years hereby resulting in an increase in the mortality rates. Various efforts to improve pain management originating from various health issues result in the rise of such astonishing figures in opioid prescription.
