Some something examples: wearable electronics, big data, artificial intelligence applications, precision medicine, life-style diagnostics, obesity, cancer immunotherapy, cannabinoids, stem cell therapy,  search algorithms, distributed computing, oil- spill clean-up technologies, self-driving cars, tsunami, cloning, DNA forensics, bio-fuels, Laser-guided surgery,  wireless battery,  cell-phone diagnostics, examples from physics of cooking, chemistry of wine, tea, coffee, et cetera...

LOGISTICS:
(1) Choose a topic of your interest.
(2) Make sure your topic is scientifically addressable and background content accessible. Topic cant be proprietary/protected information. 
(3) research the topic by consulting authoritative sources from literature (textbooks, academic journals, dissertations, academic books).
(4) write a 3-4 page description including statement of the problem, motivation, science behind the solution, any bottlenecks, overall comments, selected bibliography (3-5 references).
(5) format single-spaced, font-size: 11 or 12, pictures or illustrations
