In any business venture, funding is an essential element required for the continued existence of the entity. Likewise, non-profit organisations (NPOs) must have a source of funds to operate. Habitat for Humanity uses various avenues as sources for funds used for its construction projects. It is facilitated through the establishment and strengthening of partnerships with the funding parties. According to Homeownership – Habitat for Humanity GTA, (2017), the organisation usually spends a minimum of 300,000 U.S dollars in building a safe an decent home for low-income families with approximately half of the expenses going to land acquisition, federal taxes, and developmental fees before construction takes place. One of the ways Human for Habitat gains financial aid involves partnerships with the firm. Some of the firms which are associated with the company’s projects and programs include the Daniel’s Corporation, Enbridge, Havas Canada, OFIA and Toronto Maple Leaves (Homeownership – Habitat for Humanity GTA, 2017).
