Organizational change refers to the management of realigning an entity to meet certain changing demands of the business environment. It includes improvement of the service delivery and the capitalization of the business environment which includes improvement and technological improvisation. Additionally, it includes the management of necessary changes to the organization’s culture and practices, physical environment, responsibilities, and the entity’s policies. The organizational change in the dissertation focuses on social inclusion of transgender individuals in health organizations. As much as it may sound cold, various organizations are in existent mainly for one major clause: to make a profit for the shareholders. It is a harsh reality and a business imperative even in the health sector. Social and gender minorities usually experience stigma and discrimination. Such individuals are usually bound by the struggle for living at the focus of several cultural backgrounds, especially with respect to healthcare and a history of discrimination of health needs by health practitioners. Health International is a health organization located in Harare Zimbabwe. The organization provides medical cover for its member in countries such as Malawi, Botswana, Mozambique and South Africa. It has been operational in Sub-Saharan Africa, primarily Malawi and Zambia. In recent times, unlike other health organizations, Health International been inclusive of individuals of minority gender such as transgender, lesbian and persons. Since this is the case, it seems quite sensible to ask why health organizations would consider transiting to becoming transgender inclusive. At a glance the change might seem counterintuitive. After all, what would the organization really have to gain? Would it actually result to increased productivity? Would it improve the general health of the public or would it cost more money? In several instances, the answers to these questions would be a great deal, not if you perform it effectively, most definitely and not as much as you would save or make. In the real world, no successful stakeholder intends to make a decision which makes them believe it would result to loss of money for the organization. The mantra for organizations and business entities in the present day is, “Cut down costs and maximize on profits”. Several thriving organizations especially in the health sector are continuously discovering the validity and advantages of being transgender-inclusive. Else, they would not obviously do so.
