Drug Trade Organizations have been increasing narcotic trade activities in the United States of America. It is attributed to bribery of border officials who man the US-Mexico along the south. The US Customs and Border Protection is the government body concerned with managing border patrol activities. In the recent past Drug Trade Organizations (DTOs) make their enterprises thrive by infiltrating the US market. Most of the activities undertaken by such organization pose a threat to national security (Basu, G., 2014). DTOs are controlled structures which conduct distribution of large quantities of illicit drugs. A recent report discovery revealed that such organizations derive tens of billions of dollars from their regular trafficking of illegal drugs.   Illegal cross-border activities of Drug Trade Organizations (DTO) Most of the DTOs conduct drug trafficking activities across several states in the US. Some of the illicit drugs include marijuana, heroin, cocaine and methamphetamine. Expansion of the DTOs operations, majorly from Mexico, reached the states of Florida, New York and New England. Other DTOs from Colombia have diminished though they remain a cradle of wholesale amounts of cocaine and heroin in eastern states of the US. According to (Dávila, A. L. 2016), the Mexican DTOs have rapidly expanded their operations scaling from transport, distribution and the supply of illicit drugs. Moreover, Cuban DTOs have also expanded operations attributed by the close working ties with Mexican cartels.Subsequently, immigrants from trafficking operations allow growth of criminal groups composed of both Cubans and Mexicans.
