If a company solves the problem, the manager will be more aggressive. This allows you to find and destroy problems before they become too difficult to manage (Schermerhorn & Bachrach, 2015, p. 152). Managers who can do this are rarer than responsive managers, but both are important to your organization. Identifying a problem before it becomes a problem may not be easy, so you need to change the way you handle the problem. Schermerhorn and Bachrach (2015) call such problems "crisis problems" (p. 154). Crisis issues require crisis decisions, and managers must be able to address these crises. Even in a crisis situation, when quick decisions are needed, it is more important to take the time to fully assess the situation than to make a quick decision without all the information. One of the best ways for an administrator to deal with any kind of problem is to plan carefully.
