1. Select a bank (theoretical or real world to be confirmed)
- Correct see your other post on the organisation.

2. Provide a general overview of AI (assuming not within a banking context as this is done in Assignment 2)
- Correct think of this as a primer for the reader.

3. Analyse the bank's current technology landscape and identify some technology issues (assuming only those that may be addressed by AI as opposed other general technology issues)
- I would approach this from the use cases for AI and try and identify a correlation between the use of AI and the banks IT landscape

4. Identify and provide a single problem statement related to one of the identifies issues
- High level problem statement for AI to address

5. Propose an AI based solution that can address this single problem statement and communicate the benefits
- Outline the capabilities of the AI in respect to the problem statement
- Potential benefits / value AI can provide

6. Recommendation and conclusion
- Will AI be a viable solution for the problem, recommendation

The assignment briefs specify that an organisation within in the industry be selected and that all subsequent analysis be undertaken in the context of that organisation. In Assignment 1 some of the analysis includes describing the scope of AI for the organisation, identifying a problem statement for the organisation and the business benefits of AI for the organisation. In Assignment 2 developing a business model canvas and strategy for the specific organisation is required.

Can you let me know if the intent is for an organisation like NAB for example, to be selected and researched so that a specific strategy for NAB can be developed or, is the organisation going to be a theoretical "ACME Bank" as representative of the industry?

The intent of selecting the industry is so that you can research the trends and drivers for the industry. This is to enable you to position the use of AI within the industry. The organisation could be NAB or a fictious bank as long as it is a good representation of the industry.
