There is no reason why the education industry should be so determined in remaining in the dark ages when there are newer and more efficient means to facilitate student learning through the use of mobile phones. New York mayor has taken the mantle for this initiative by lifting a ban on using phones on school premises that has been effect for the past ten years. This is the first step in providing an equal environment for students to access learning opportunities similar to other more progressive education sectors in other countries.

Cell phones provide the technologies that students in the 21^st century are best accustomed to in their daily lives, thus the best learning medium for the students to retain the information
