General Guidelines

Part A 

You will choose an event of the past decade (2000-2017). First you-ll need to decide what constitutes an "event."

Then assemble a packet that could be used to study this event, which includes 5-7 items or documents

Write a 2 page paper discussing why you selected your sources and what they contribute to an understanding of this event.

What writing prompt or though question would you give to a student along with this packet?

Provide a clear and complete bibliography of your items

Paper checklist

1. Packet contains reproductions of 7-7 items or documents (primary sources, make sure they are primary for at least four items/documents0
2. Your explanatory analysis paper is double spaced
3. Paper pages are numbered
4. Name, date, and a title (not "History now project")
5. Proofread for spelling, grammar, sentence structure (no run-ons or sentence fragments)
6. All questions are properly cited using Chicago or Turabian style
7. All work is original and in your own powrds. Papers that use text cut and pasted from Wikipedia or other online or published sources will receive an automatic zero
8. Chosen sources are thoughtfully selected for balance, learning value, historical significance or usefulness for answering historical question about the event.
