Workforce planning/recruitment Job analysis is the first function. This entails outlining the job responsibilities and coming up with an accurate job description, qualification, and requirements. In this category too is Workforce planning entails organizing the number of employees needed to accomplish a task and a speculation on how the number is going to be affected by the strategic plan of the organization. Advertising too is crucial. This is the function entailing organization marketing in order to beat the competition and to stay market relevant. Hiring and other aspects pertaining to acquiring new employees are also functions of the HRM responsibilities to ensure the organization has adequate staff. Employee retention In order to retain employees, the organization must focus on the welfare of the employees. Employee relations and engagement is the function of HRM dedicated to satisfaction of employees. Another function in employee retention is training and development, this helps the employee improve their skill and rise career wise and also secure promotions within the organization. The reason employees leave apart from dissatisfaction is ambition and this caters for that growth within the organization set up. Other ways of attaining loyalty are compensation as well as benefits to individuals. These are the gains from being loyal.
