Affordable Care Act (ACA) is continually having impacts on primary care in the U.S (Sommers, Gunja, Finegold & Musco, 2015). In the case of Medicaid patients, ACA has resulted in physicians seeing more patients under this medical cover. Moreover, there is an improvement in physician-patient relationships, in addition to physicians being willing to undertake patients under Medicaid easily. Currently, commercially insured patients are paying more in comparison to previous primary care visits. Lastly, uninsured patients are having shorter visits to health centers in contrast to the insured patient. In my case, I have noticed that the relationship with my physician has greatly improved. Besides, physicians are more willing to attend to my health issue than previously.
