C- An argumentative text acknowledges the existence of opposing viewpoints.

An argumentative essay involves extensive discussion of a subject through the collection and evaluation of evidence to show why the author is choosing a given position. This means that the author has to acknowledge differing viewpoints and counterarguments to why the opposing arguments are not valid. On the other hand, a persuasive text main aim is to show the reader why a specific viewpoint is the best. The persuasive text can take the form of an exposition, discussion, or review of a subject.
