The explanation on the female monarchism as described by Castor depends entirely on the reigns of Henrys two daughters Mary and Elizabeth. Elizabeth had become queen because she was the only daughter of Henry V111 with his second wife. Additionally, Queen Mary 1 had only one-half sisters which exposed her to the throne ultimately (Sundstrom,2014). This led to the two queens reigning progressively as described by Castor. Also the cr,eation of female monarchism described an entirely positive effect on the role of women in participating in political affairs as represented by Castor.
