The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child is a human rights treaty that seeks to protect the rights of the child (Blanchfield, 2010). The treaty, which came to force on 2 September 1990, received huge support from its members except for the United States. These UN’s rights of the child relate to their abuses, as it stipulates what could involve the abuse of a child. The law is against the abuse of the right to life, child labour, failure to receive parental or societal guidance and support. Article 19 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child calls for the protection of children from violence, abuse and neglect from parents as part of the punishment (Archard, 2014). Article 28 demands that school administrations abandon discipline policies, which intends to abuse and harm children. Article 33 stipulates that governments should protect children from the abuse of hard drugs. Article 39 provides children who underwent neglect or abused should receive special help to assist in reintegration back to society
