During decision-making, emotions can be advantageous or detrimental (Volz & Hertwig, 2016). Feelings will be beneficial if the other party in a discussion is open to emotional displays. That is if the other person is in a position to read the emotions, on what the opponent wants to say. Feelings will also be important in a case where a logic process would require emotions to facilitate a conclusion (Hampton, 2017). The worst application of emotions is when there is an issue, which demands logical thinking and judgment. Feeling, in this case, will accelerate a faulty decision. Besides, the use of emotions in the case where the other party is calm is also dangerous.
