It is clear that new information can contribute to the creation of a new belief, which will be true or false. However, in the case of credit cards, the idea that it is no longer safe to use it especially over the internet is correct. This assertion is because of the rise in the cases of credit card frauds. The internet is the main culprit, with hackers devising new ways to steal from the public (Weber & Studer, 2016). Banks and other financial institutions have been coming up with mitigation measures against the risk. The bottom line is, the belief that credit card use is unsafe is true.
